«Los cinco, a las cinco, con los cinco»

Así ha sido denominada la jornada mundial que se realiza en el contexto de la Semana de la Indignación y que exige la libertad de los cinco cubanos presos en Estados Unidos.
Este cinco de octubre a las cinco de la tarde en la Plaza Botero, se llevó a cabo la jornada de exigencia de la libertad y protesta por las condiciones en las que se encuentran los cinco cubanos presos en cinco cárceles diferentes de Estados Unidos.
Estas jornadas que tienen lugar el día cinco de cada mes en 102 países diferentes, han planteado como objetivo principal exigir la libertad de Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez, Fernando González Llort, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, Ramón Labañino Salazar, René González Sehwerert; que fueron arrestados hace 14 años en Miami (Estados Unidos) presuntamente por espiar al gobierno de este país, así lo expresó Jairo Suarez uno de los promotores de la actividad quien dijo también que la pena mas alta recibida por uno de estos cubanos es de dos cadenas perpetuas y 15 años, mientras la mas baja es de 17 años.
Esta actividad mensual es organizada por la corporación colombo-cubana y la Corporación Corsolcuba por 8 meses consecutivos, esta vez se inscribe en la Semana de la Indignación convocada por los diferentes movimientos sociales de Colombia, pues en este caso concreto el motivo de quienes estaban presentes en la Plaza Botero era la injusticia ante la forma como los entes judiciales americanos han tratado el problema, así como también por la estigmatización de “terroristas” a la que se han visto sometidos estas personas por el hecho de estar realizando una investigación acerca de las intervenciones norteamericanas en la isla cubana.
“Obama, Obama… El mundo te reclama… Libera los 5 de cuba nuestra hermana” fue una de las consignas más pronunciadas durante la actividad que culminó a las 5:40 pm.
